Toddler Classes!

When we first moved to Rockridge, my top priority was to enroll Elliott into some toddler classes. We signed up for Music Together every Tuesday and Kindergym every Friday. Elliott LOVES both classes! Unfortunately, I never remember to bring my camera, so I don't have any videos yet, but I did manage to capture a few pictures on my phone.

Kindergym is a huge gym at the local Jewish Temple filled with tons and tons and tons of toys and activity centers for toddlers. Elliott has a few favorites like the bouncy horses, push cars, water table, and rice table. But he also loves to just roam around discovering new toys all the time. He doesn't actively notice the other kids, but I know he enjoys the energy of being around all of them. For the last 15 minutes of "class", we sing songs in a big circle and eat Hallah bread together.

Music Together is an awesome music class that we both love. Our teacher, Andy, is absolutely amazing. We love her. We usually get to class a little early, so Elliott has plenty of time to play Andy's keyboard and settle in. Once class starts, Elliott immediately sits on my lap and always looks right at Andy with a huge grin. His favorite part of class is when we get to play with instruments. At fist, he was a bit timid. I had to get our instruments, and he rarely played them. Now he grabs a drum right away and plays on it the whole time. He usually wants me to hold him when we're standing or dancing unless we're dancing with scarves - he loves the scarves!

E is (usually) very good about returning the scarves and instruments as soon as he hears the tune "bum-bum".
