NaNa's Visit

We had so much fun with NaNa during her visit. We were very sad when she left and decided her visit was far too short! Elliott loved his NaNa and ALL the goodies she brought him. He has a whole new stash of favorite toys, which I am sure will make the photo rounds soon enough. Luckily it was pretty NaNa's entire visit, so we were out and about most days. We did some shopping and lots of eating, and Elliott showed NaNa what a happy and content baby he could be while stuck in an Ergo all day long!

We went to Noe Valley for some shoe shopping and lunch on our first day out. It was a complete success. On our way home we stopped by the local park and market.

The second day of NaNa's visit we joined Daddy for lunch downtown and did some more shoe shopping. Another successful day! Although we did manage to throw Elliott's favorite toy out with the recycling, lose our garage parking ticket (which meant we had to pay $35 to get out of garage), lose a debit card as we were searching for the garage ticket, find the debit card which had been turned in to the cashier, and then find the garage ticket on the sidewalk near where we ate lunch hours previously ($35 reimbursed) all in one day. These things seem to happen when NaNa and I are together.

The third day of our visit Aunty Gail joined us in the city for a planned quick trip to the Academy of Sciences Museum. Who knew it was spring break! After 45 minutes of trying to find a parking space, we finally parked about a mile away from the museum. Although it was a nice, warm day when we left my house, it was a cold and windy day by the time we arrived to the museum, and none of us were wearing a jacket (we fit right in with all the other silly tourists). The museum was a zoo - people everywhere! It may be a good thing we didn't manage to take a picture of this outing.

Then we were off to Danville for a pampered and relaxing visit at Gail and Chuck's house for the weekend. It was Elliott's first sleep-over there, and he loved it! Oh, the open space - he loved just chilling out on his blanket with his toys in whatever room we happened to be in at the time.
