Mimi's Visit!

Mimi came to visit at the end of May, and we couldn't have been more excited! We were worried it was going to rain the entire time she was here, which it seems to every visit, but it managed to be pretty for much of the time. (When was the last time it rained in late May anyway for crying out loud!)

On our first day together, Mimi, Elliott, and Mama went to the zoo. It was a beautiful morning, and Elliott loved showing Mimi all the animals, especially the giraffes!

The next day it rained a bit, so we took it easy and played in the house. Elliott never had it so good! Mimi can play! They played with the trains and the kitchen set and the cups and whatever else they could get their hands on ALL morning. I don't know who was more exhausted!

Then we all took a break to go out to lunch together. Brandon was able to take off work for the rest of the week, so he got to join us. After lunch and nap, the sun popped out just enough to go on a little drive around the neighborhood. We took some photos at the top of a hill with beautiful views of San Francisco, but of course the view didn't come out in the pictures.

On Friday, we took a drive to Sausalito to go to the Discovery Museum and out to lunch. It was a perfect, sunny day!

On Saturday morning before Mimi had to leave to catch her flight, we managed to capture a sweet moment on video. Mimi was looking at a picture of cousin Benjamin on her lap top, and Elliott started bringing his toys over for Benjamin to see. It was almost as good as playing together, but not quite. We can't wait for that to happen in July!!!!!

We were very sad when Mimi had to go, and we are all in agreement that she has to stay longer next time. It is hard to be so far away, but we will Skype, look at these pictures, and watch the videos until we get to see you again in July. We are also going to work on saying, "Mimi." Right now it sounds a bit more like "Maaww Maaww," which is awfully cute , but not quite the name Mimi is going for :)
