Mimi stayed half a week, and I think we are all in agreement that her next visit needs to be at least a week. We were especially grateful to have Mimi visit because she is terrified of flying, and only her grown up baby boy and newest grandbaby boy could get her up in the air. Next time we are headed her way!
We had lots of fun during Mimi's visit. On her first full day here, we ate lunch downtown with Daddy, walked around Union square, and took a long walk to the Ferry Building. The next day we took a nice drive to Point Reyes and stopped for lunch on the way at a nice outdoor restaurant near the ocean. I say the drive was nice - but I must clarify that it was a beautiful and very windy drive on Hwy 1, which was great until poor Elliott got car sick and threw up all over the place. He smiled the whole time though, so it didn't seem to bother him. The next day we joined all our friends for brunch at Wandee and Jon's. It was neat for us to introduce Mimi to everyone and for her to get the chance to see Elliott play with his best friend, Isla. We ended Mimi's trip on a great note by going to our local family pizzaria down the street and then staying up late watching a movie and chatting.
We miss Mimi and can't wait to see her again in just 1 1/2 months! Until then, Skype will have to do. Maybe I will have to hold Elliott high in the air when he talks with his Mimi!
